Molland will be responsible for driving and coordinating Hydro's relations with Norwegian and international media and will be a member of the Communication management team. He will report to Inger Sethov.

He will continue to head the communication activities in the Aluminium Metal business area and will also be a member of the Aluminium Metal management team.

Molland joined Hydro in 2006, following a position as head of communication in ABB’s global Oil & Gas division and Chief Communication Officer in ABB in Norway. He has broad experience as a freelance journalist in Norway and international experience as press and information officer in the NATO-led forces in Bosnia.

Molland holds a Master’s degree in chemical engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
