Eivind Kallevik will take over as head of Primary Metal after Hilde Merete Aasheim, effective August 15. Einar Glomnes, former head of global joint ventures in Primary Metal, is replacing head of Rolled Products Kjetil Ebbesberg, effective immediately, while Pål Kildemo will take over as Chief Financial Officer after Eivind Kallevik, effective August 15. In the interim period, Kildemo will be acting head of Primary Metal in addition to his current role as Head of Finance in Primary Metal.

The young but already experienced talent Pål Kildemo will take a key role as our new CFO and accelerating Hydro’s ongoing improvement agenda. Einar Glomnes brings with him extensive commercial and industry experience as we are now accelerating restructuring and performing a strategic review of Rolled Products,” says Aasheim.

Eivind Kallevik to take on the position as new EVP Primary Metal, succeeding Hilde Merete Aasheim
After six years as Chief Financial Officer, Eivind Kallevik has been appointed to succeed Hilde Merete Aasheim as new EVP for Primary Metal. Prior to this role, Kallevik has held several key positions within the Finance area after joining Hydro in 1998, including three years as Head of Finance for Bauxite & Alumina in Brazil, as Head of Corporate Financial Reporting, Performance and Tax, and as Head of Finance in the former downstream business area Aluminium Products. Kallevik has a bachelor’s degree from the Norwegian Business School (BI) and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco. Kallevik will take on his new position and area of responsibility August 15 and will report to Hilde Merete Aasheim, President and CEO.
Pål Kildemo to take on the position as new CFO, succeeding Eivind Kallevik
Pål Kildemo has been appointed new Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, succeeding Eivind Kallevik. Kildemo comes from the position as Head of Finance in Primary Metal, which he has held since 2016. Kildemo has a master’s degree in Economics and Finance from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland, 2008 and joined Hydro the same year as a trainee in Energy. He has since held several key positions within the field of Risk Management, Investor Relations and Finance. Kildemo will take on his new position August 15 and will report to Hilde Merete Aasheim, President and CEO. As of May 8, Kildemo will temporarily hold the position as EVP Primary Metal in addition to his role as Head of Finance until the new organizational changes are effective.
Einar Glomnes to take on the position as new Executive Vice President Rolled Products, succeeding Kjetil Ebbesberg
Einar Glomnes has been appointed as new EVP Rolled Products to succeed Kjetil Ebbesberg, who will stay on as Strategic Advisor until October 1, 2019. Einar comes from the position as Senior Vice President and Head of Global Joint Ventures in Primary Metal, which he has held for the past four years. Prior to this, he was General Manager of Hydro Aluminium, Asia, located in Singapore. Glomnes joined Hydro in the Legal department in 2004 after work experience both from Schjødt law firm and McKinsey & Co Consultancy. Glomnes holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Oslo and Columbia Law School, New York. He will take on his new position immediately and report to Hilde Merete Aasheim, President and CEO.
Until a permanent successor is in place, Knut Meel will assume the responsibility as Head of Global Joint Ventures.
