Bjerke is since 2020 an Adjunct Executive in Residence, Norwegian School of Economics. He was the CEO of DNB ASA (Norway’s largest financial group) from 2007-2019 and the President & CEO of the Norwegian energy and infrastructure company Hafslund ASA from 2000-2006. Prior to this, he has experience as EVP & Head of Africa and Deputy Global Trading in Heidelberg Cement and as the CEO of Scancem International.
Bjerke has also been a political advisor in the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, party secretary in the Oslo Labor Party and finance council in the municipality of Oslo.
Bjerke has through his career gained advanced experience within inter alia finance, strategy, risk management, public policy and people & compensation.
Bjerke has previously served on the board of directors in several organizations including Equinor ASA and Finans Norge.
