After the pipe was sealed and secured, Alunorte commissioned a third-party environment consultancy Enviro-Tec to analyze the water and soil outside of Alunorte.

The testing was carried out on February 22. The Enviro-Tec report concluded that the rain water that had leaked through the construction pipe had not caused negative impact to the soil. See full report in the link.
