The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) has just certified Hydro’s extrusion operations in:
- Ghlin, Belgium (remelter)
- Raeren, Belgium
- Atessa, Italy
- Feltre, Italy (including remelter)
- Ornago, Italy
- Drunen, Netherlands (including remelter and Pole Products)
- Harderwijk, Netherlands
“This is an important accomplishment by our extrusion team in Europe, and very good news for their customers, who want sustainable materials from companies that do business the right way,” says executive vice president Egil Hogna, who leads Hydro’s Extruded Solutions business area.
“We have directed all our operations toward ASI certification, because doing business the right way is what our company is about.”
Leading the aluminium extrusion industry
With the latest group of certifications, Hydro now has 16 aluminium extrusion and fabrication facilities certified according to the ASI Performance Standard. The others:

The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) is a global, multi-stakeholder, non-profit standards setting and certification organization. It works toward responsible production, sourcing and stewardship of aluminium following an entire value chain approach. To this end, ASI launched its Performance Standard and Chain of Custody Standard in December 2017.
