Our commitment to compliance and integrity
We expect our employees to act responsibly with their colleagues, business partners and society.
We conduct our business in all corners of the world and are committed to act in accordance with all relevant laws and regulations. Fighting corruption is part of our social responsibility – we do not tolerate corruption in the private or public sector.
Building lasting, sustainable value is important to us. To do so, being compliant, always with integrity, and being a good corporate citizen is not just the only viable way – it is the Hydro Way.
Responsible sourcing and supplier development
Being a responsible business partner means that we continuously engage, influence and work with our suppliers and business associates. It is fundamental for us to understand and mitigate risks of non-compliance with our corporate responsibility requirements in the supply chain.
The requirements cover issues related to environment, human rights, anti-corruption and working conditions, and are built upon the UN Global Compact, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and other international standards. We work to strengthen local suppliers through supplier development programs.
Human rights are fundamental to our business conduct
We are committed to respecting and promoting human rights of all individuals potentially affected by our operations. Internationally recognized human rights provide the platform for our approach and initiatives. This gives us a solid framework to assess risks and opportunities – in developed and developing countries.
