Jon Ola started at Elkem Aluminum Mosjøen in 2000 and worked as an electrolysis process engineer before moving to Oslo to work on projects in Elkem Aluminium.

In 2006, Ystgaard took over the position as Technical Manager at Elkem Aluminum Lista before becoming Electrolysis Manager at the plant in 2007. Since 2014, Jon Ola has been the General Manager of Aludyne Norge AS, an aluminum car parts manufacturer based in Farsund.

Ystgaard graduated as a metallurgist from NTNU in 1999.

As previously announced, former Plant Manager, Johan Berg, has taken on a new position in Qatalum, Qatar. Hans Petter Lange has been acting Plant Manager at Hydro Husnes since 1 July.

Ystgaard will start in his new position on October 11.
